Christine Nankervis was born and raised in Redding, California where at the age of five she began taking dance classes with Heidi Armstrong, a local teacher. At age six, she transferred to Redding Dance Centre, under the direction of Deborah Larsen. There she studied in jazz, tap, ballet, and modern. For the summers of 2005 and 2007 she attended the prestigious Jillana School, in Taos, New Mexico. In 2006, she began training at Redding Ballet Academie under the direction of Cindy Michaels. In 2008, she became a corps member of Redding City Ballet. She is also very involved in music playing bass guitar and double bass in both Jazz Ensemble and Symphonic Band at Foothill High School.
