Summer Sewing Camp

Before the Nutcracker can defeat the Mouse King, before Drosselmeyer can amaze his audience with magic, and before the Sugar Plum Fairy can glide across the stage, they all need...Costumes! Join Redding City Ballet for a special sewing camp meant just for budding costumers. Space is limited, so register today to reserve your spot!

Camp projects include a pillowcase, a pullover dress OR pajama pants and a zipper pouch.

After registering for the camp, pick out your own fabric and supplies to bring with you, or add the Sewing Camp Material Package to your cart.

If choosing NOT to purchase the Material Package, campers will need to bring:

For pillowcase:
1/3 yard of fabric for the pillowcase cuff

1/8 yard of contrasting fabric for the trim (optional)
¾ yard of fabric for the main pillowcase body. Suggested fabrics: cotton print or solid, flannel print or solid.

For pullover dress:
4 yards cotton print or solid. Suggested fabrics: lightweight cotton

OR

Pajama pants:
1 5/8 yards fabric. Suggested fabrics: cotton print or solid, flannel print or solid

For zippered pouch:
½ yard cotton print or solid for main body
½ yard cotton solid for lining
Can also use scraps from dress to make a matching pouch instead.

All fabrics being used should be pre-washed first for best results. Zipper, thread, bias tape and any other notions will be supplied by the camp.
