Beyond the Studio: Mental Health, Resilience, and Real Talk for Dancers & Parents

  • Redding City Ballet 935 Locust Street Redding, CA, 96001 United States (map)

Join us for a free, 2-hour interactive workshop dedicated to navigating the unique mental health challenges of the dance world.

Dancers face intense pressure: balancing performance expectations, perfectionism, body image, and daily stress. To open up an honest conversation, studio instructor Deysi Faeth will share a personal testimony on the realities of mental health in the dance community. Afterward, we will break into two dedicated sessions, one tailored specifically for students and one for parents, to discuss practical strategies for managing stress, fostering emotional resilience, and building a supportive environment both at home and in the studio.

Note: Due to the interactive and in-depth nature of this workshop, we recommend it for students ages 10 and older; however, parents of students of any age are welcome to attend.
